Women's Empowerment?
In these sessions, participants of all gender are equipped with the necessary skills to critically reflect on the topic women's empowerment. While different approaches to empowering women are discussed, one of the core themes of this series is to highlight how individually coined this term actually is. The last section invites to self-reflection.

Module 1: What is "Women's Empowerment"?
The first part of this series engages with different theories around women's empowerment and invites students to reflect on their own ideas on empowerment. Questions discussed can be:
1: What is empowerment?
2: What influences how empowered you feel?
3: What areas of life do you feel you need to improve?
4: How far is every gender required to empower women?
Module 2: Examples of Female Icons
Having concluded that empowerment is rather a process than an outcome and, that the experience depends greatly on each individual per se, this workshop presents women whose stories can provide valuable "food for group discussions". Examples include:
2: Maya Angelou
Themes to be explored further can be the achievements, failures as well as challenges of those women and in particular, what lessons one can learn from their journey.
Module 3: Self-reflection on "Empowerment"
The last module invites to apply the basic understanding of women's empowerment and reflect on particular areas of life in groups or individually. The overall task is to engage with statements through either journaling, discussing or visualization. The areas dealt with depend on the participants' preferences but must include a visual empowerment board.
